MAIN QUEST:  COUNT REUVEN’S TREASURE

Objectives:

  • Ask Djikstra about Dandelion
  • Follow him down to the sewers
  • Agree to investigate the site of the break-in
  • Drink the potion Djikstra gives you to survive the toxic fumes
  • Follow the current and use your Witcher Senses to gather evidence
  • Return to Djikstra and summarize your findings
  • Look for clues in the bathhouse side rooms using your Witcher Senses
  • Tell Djikstra what you found
  • Go to Margrave Henkel’s house
  • Search Margrave’s house using your Witcher Senses
  • Read the mysterious note
  • Place the wine bottle in its slot in the adjacent room
  • Search the hidden room using your Witcher Senses
  • Check what’s going on downstairs
  • Meet Triss at the Eternal Fire shrine near the harbor around midnight
  • OPTION A:  Infiltrate the witch hunters’ outpost without arousing suspicion - recommended
  • OPTION B:  Arouse suspicions and slaughter the group (lose Djikstra as ally & greatly affect ending)
  • OPTION A PATH:
  • Tell the leader you have info on Phillipa’s whereabouts
  • Follow the witch hunter
  • Allow them to take Triss (“Fine, take her.”)
  • Drink with Menge (“Why not?”)
  • Play it cool while Triss is being tortured (“Your hunters are torturing Triss, but haven’t been paid.”)
  • Follow up with “Triss betrayed me first” or “Witchers do anything for gold.”
  • Ask Menge to free Dandelion (do not mention treasure) and he will slip up
  • Watch as Triss kills Menge
  • Talk to Triss and get the key to Djikstra’s treasure
  • Use Menge’s key to open the n/w door and exit via the balcony
  • Help Triss burn the place down or just leave (use crates to jump onto shed roof)
  • Blow a hole through the brick to exit the courtyard, where Djikstra’s men are waiting

  • Borrow a prop sword from Madame Irina
  • Meet Dandeion near Sophronia’s house after dark
  • Fight the ‘Crimson Avenger’ (let Dandelion win)
  • Head back to the pub for a chat with Priscilla
  • When asked, choose a ‘theatrical’ look for the decor (Dandelion’s preference)

  • Retrieve the coin Thecia threw in the water
  • Give the coin to Thecia
  • Walk to the peak of Bald Mountain
  • Defeat Fugas in combat
  • Play rock-paper-scissors to decide who faces the crones (Ciri)
  • Enter the tree roots and find the lair
  • Kill the three crones
  • Back with Geralt, find Imerlith and kill him
  • Praise Ciri after reuniting
  • When she asks if you’re ready to go, say “not quite yet” – recommended
  • Search Imerlith’s corpse to get the Magic Acorn
  • Return to Ciri and tell her you’re ready to go
  • As you descend, two villagers stop you and ask about the acorn – make another choice:
  • OPTION A:  Keep the acorn (eating it grants 2 extra skill points)
  • OPTION B:  Give them the acorn, so they can plant another tree

MAIN QUEST:  FINAL PREPARATIONS – PART 1

Objectives:

  • Travel to Novigrad with Ciri
  • Enter Dandelion’s pub to begin multiple quests – this quest tracks your progress
  • Meet Ciri and Yennefer at the pub after rescuing Philipa and Margareta
  • Concerning Ciri’s meeting with the Lodge, make a critical choice:
  • OPTION A:  Let Ciri attend the meeting alone (positive) - recommended
  • OPTION B:  Go with Ciri to the meeting (negative)

MAIN QUEST:  BLINDINGLY OBVIOUS

Objectives:

  • Talk to Triss
  • Go to Djikstra’s bathhouse with Triss
  • VARIABLE:  Get extra quest “A Final Kindness” if you allowed Keira Metz to visit Radovid
  • Look for Phillipa Eilhart in the bathhouse
  • Kill Bart (the troll) or convince him to let you pass
  • Sneak up on Phillipa without making too much noise
  • Convince her to meet Triss outside
  • OPTION A:  Be pleasant to Djikstra – tell him Ciri has returned to trigger “Reason of State” - recommended
  • OPTION B:  Punch Djikstra in the face
  • Join Triss at the bathhouse entrance

SECONDARY QUEST:  A FINAL KINDNESS – only available if Keira went to see Radovid

Objectives:

  • Meet Triss at midnight
  • Get rid of the guards

MAIN QUEST:  THE GREAT ESCAPE

Objectives:

  • Meet Yennefer at Crippled Kate’s brothel
  • Catch the runaway – dash along the canal and use Aard to trip him up
  • Ask Faria about the prison he escaped from
  • VARIABLE:  Zoltan will help if you failed to free the mages with Triss; otherwise, he declines
  • Meet Yennefer on the Oxenfurt bridge
  • Enter the prison through the well
  • Search the ruins
  • Find the missing mechanism part using your Witcher Senses
  • Repair the mechanism and open the doors
  • Enter the sewers
  • Find the sorceress Margarita
  • VARIABLE:  Kill the witch hunters and guards – if Zoltan helped, they will all be drunk
  • Get the key from the commander’ body
  • Unlock the cell door
  • Summon Yennefer to transport Margarita
  • Escape the prison – cross the battlements or backtrack through the sewers
  • Wait for daylight before leaving the city

MAIN QUEST:  PAYBACK

Objectives:

  • Talk to Ciri
  • Follow her to Whoreson Junior’s hideout on Temple Isle
  • Deal with henchman at the door – either fight or use Axii (Lv.3)
  • Follow Ciri upstairs to meet Junior
  • VARIABLE:  If you killed Junior earlier, Dudu now runs the show – ideal outcome
  • Follow Ciri to the Golden Sturgeon pub
  • Deal with thugs hassling Bea the waitress
  • Follow Ciri to the carnival troupe
  • Talk to Valdo and agree to race him
  • Drink wine with them afterwards
  • OPTION A:  Agree to steal some horses – recommended
  • OPTION B:  Decline to steal the horse (kicked out of camp after fistfight)
  • Sneak inside the stables – do not wake the guard
  • Use your Witcher Senses to find a key that unlocks the stable door
  • Use Axii to calm the horses (if necessary)
  • Ride out with your comrades

SECONDARY QUEST:  IT TAKES THREE TO TANGO – only available if you declared love for both women

Objectives:

  • After meeting Ciri, Triss and Yennefer approach you with an offer
  • Go to the Kingfisher Inn and buy some good wine from the barkeep
  • NOTE:  If the quest does not update, buy another vintage until it does
  • Meet Triss and Yennefer in the upstairs guestroom
  • Talk to Dandelion when he rescues you the next morning

MAIN QUEST:  THROUGH TIME AND SPACE

Objectives:

  • Talk to Avallac’h in his suite
  • Decide whether to kill Ge’els or make a deal with him
  • Follow Avallac’h to the (familiar) haunted house
  • VARIABLE:  If you let godling Sarah stay, chat with her inside
  • Climb down to the cellar and use Aard to break the wall
  • Enter the portal
  • Follow Avallac’h through the desert
  • Kill monsters while Avallac’h opens the passage
  • When he starts counting down, enter the portal
  • Find the next passage on your own – do not veer off the path
  • Dash through the poisonous terrain until you reach the next portal
  • Jump inside to arrive underwater
  • Swim directly to the next portal before air runs out – emerge in an ice cave
  • Use Igni to melt ice blocking the path
  • Once outside, the frozen wind harms you - dash toward the rocky alcove (n/e)
  • Use your Witcher Senses to find an ‘X’ marked on the rock
  • Light braziers, campfires, etc. - stand next to them to replenish health
  • Go to the lighthouse
  • Enter the open doorway at the bottom of the slope – defeat hounds
  • Rest up and continue dashing through the ruins – defeat more hounds
  • Enter the portal beneath the lighthouse
  • Talk to Avalac’h – offers many revelations
  • Travel to the next world
  • Talk to Ge’els
  • Agree to drink with him or decline
  • When he asks if Avalac’h is honest, answer as you wish
  • Ask Ge’els to leave
  • Back with Ciri (and Corinne), answer Avalac’h and Ge’els as you see fit

SECONDARY QUEST:  REASON OF STATE – Radovid (critical) – only if given during “Blindingly Obvious”

Objectives:

  • Meet Djikstra, Vernon, and Thaler in the portside warehouse
  • Agree to their plan
  • Lure Radovid from his ship using the ring Phillipa gave you
  • Fight waves of soldiers and witch hunters once Radovid flees – take your time
  • Ensure that all foes behind and to the sides are dead before moving north
  • Kill Radovid
  • Regroup in Madame Irina’s theatre
  • When Djikstra arrives, make an important decision:
  • OPTION A:  Defeat Djikstra and his men (side with Vernon) – recommended
  • OPTION B:  Side with Djikstra (your allies are executed)
  • VARIABLE:  If you do not get this quest (or fail to complete it), Radovid remains in power

MAIN QUEST:  BATTLE PREPARATIONS

Objectives:

  • Arrive in Skellige with comrades to begin multiple quests – this quest tracks your progress
  • Find out if Avalac’h is hiding something
  • Ask Avalac’h how Margareta is doing – recommended
  • Help Ciri confront her past

MAIN QUEST:  VENI VIDI VIGO

Objectives:

  • Talk to Yennefer
  • Sneak onto the emperor’s flagship under cover of darkness – avoid the searchlights
  • Dive down and grab the anchor to board
  • Talk to Emhyr – if you didn’t take Ciri to visit him, he’ll ask where she is
  • Enter Fringalla’s portal to return to shore

MAIN QUEST:  THE SUNSTONE

Objectives:

  • Talk to Ciri
  • Ask Crach where Ermion is – assuming one of his kids now rules the isles
  • Locate Ermion in Kaer Muire
  • Fight Madman Lugos and his men – protect Ermion
  • Talk to Ermion once safe – ask about the Sunstone
  • Talk to the bard Eyvind
  • Talk to the pearl diver
  • Return to Yennefer
  • Meet Phillipa in the elven ruins – when ready

  • Tell Yennefer to look at the notes Avalac’h wrote
  • Meet the she-elf
  • When Ciri arrives, make an important choice:
  • OPTION A:  Tell Ciri to “Go for it” (positive) – recommended
  • OPTION B:  Tell Ciri to “Calm down” (negative)
  • Meet Ciri outside
  • When she asks to go to Skjall’s grave, make another important choice:
  • OPTION A:  Say, “Yeah, I’ll go with you.” (positive) - recommended
  • OPTION B:  Say, “No time.” (negative) – forfeit “Skjall’s Grave” quest

MAIN QUEST:  SKJALL’S GRAVE – if you agreed to Ciri’s request

Objectives:

  • Join Ciri in Lofoten Cemetery – use Yennefer’s portal or meet her there
  • Locate Skjall’s grave
  • Let Avalac’h know everything is ready – also concludes “Battle Preparations”

MAIN QUEST:  ON THIN ICE

Objectives:

  • Join Avalac’h and the sorceresses on Undvik island
  • Board the Wild Hunt ship
  • As Ciri, defeat hordes of Wild Hunt enemies
  • Fight Caranthir until Geralt arrives
  • Kill Caranthir
  • Immediately swim to the surface before air runs out
  • Board the flaming ship
  • Leap onto the ice flow and head north, boarding Eredin’s ship
  • Kill Eredin

MAIN QUEST:  TEDD DEIREADH, THE FINAL AGE

Objectives:

  • Follow Yennefer
  • Call for Roach and gallop past all enemies – stopping to fight results in death
  • Climb the icy mountain
  • Wait for Yennefer to cast a protective shield
  • Stick to her as she moves through, slaying any hounds that appear
  • Run through the magical barrier on top
  • Get to the elven tower
  • Confront Avalac’h
  • When Ciri arrives, work through four timed conversations - her fate depends on prior choices you made

EPILOGUE:  SOMETHING ENDS, SOMETHING BEGINS

CIRI’S FATE #1 – DEATH

Occurs if you failed to boost Ciri’s confidence 3 out of 5 times, regardless of other choices:

  • Talk to the werewolf (choose to kill it or spare it)
  • Follow Berem - optional
  • Defeat the hunters
  • Kill the last crone
  • Take Ciri’s Wolf Medallion
  • Sit in defeat and despair

CIRI’S FATE #2 – EMPRESS

Occurs if you boosted Ciri’s confidence 3 out of 5 times / took her to see the emperor / completed all Assassins quests / killed Radovid during “Reason of State and sided with Vernon Roche:

  • Have a drink with Zoltan and Dandelion in the tavern
  • VARIABLE:  Yennefer or Triss will be there (or neither) depending on previous romantic choices
  • Talk to the peasant having trouble with his horse – triggers “Faithful Friend”
  • Talk to Mislav the hunter
  • Find Ciri
  • Go to the griffin’s nest
  • Slay the forktail
  • Offer to take Ciri fishing (to cheer her up)
  • Go to the lake
  • Get rid of the bear
  • Fish with Ciri – use Vesemir’s bomb technique
  • Gather the fish using your Witcher Senses
  • Go for a walk with Ciri
  • Watch as she sets off to become the new empress

CIRI’S FATE #3 – WITCHER

Occurs if you boosted Ciri’s confidence 2 out of 4 times / did not take her to see the emperor:

  • Talk to emperor Emyhr about the outcome of the war
  • VARIABLE:  Peace negotiations are imminent if Radovid is dead and you sided with Vernon
  • After relaying news about Ciri, Emyhr asks you to leave and never return
  • Go to the ruined fortress
  • Meet Master Orl to pick up the sword
  • Remind him of the inscription you asked for: “Zireael” or “The Flash That Cuts”
  • Go to the White Orchard tavern
  • Help inhabitants of the village
  • VARIABLE:  Witness the impact of war on the locals – depending on who won
  • Enter the tavern and give Ciri her new witcher blade
